The Akron University is a public university situated in Akron, Ohio. The fourth largest university in Ohio was established in 1870. More than 24,000 students including postgraduates and undergraduates are enrolled here. The university offers around 300 undergraduate majors and 100 graduate courses. The Akron's athletic teams, the "Zips" presently hold the title of Capital One National Mascot of the Year.
