Languages of Arda |

The inventor of this language was J.R.R.Tolkien. "Languages of Arda" is the term used to describe the different fictional languages created by the author. Tolkien wished to give genuine linguistic depth to the names, places and even the languages spoken by the characters. The two most developed of these languages are Quenya (High-Elvish language) and Sindarin. Quenya is like Latin, i.e., it is and old language used as an official language. Sindarin is the Elvish language which derived from an earlier language called Common Telerin. |

The inventor of this language is J.K.Rowling in his Harry Potter series. Parseltongue is the language of the snakes and the human who can speak in the language is called a Parselmouth. In the book, it is a very rare gift among the wizards and the only two wizards who possessed the ability were Salazar Slytherin and his heir Voldemort. The language was accidentally passed to Harry while Voldemort tried to kill him. According to Rowling, the name of the language is stated after “an old word for someone who has a problem with the mouth.” |

This language usually appears as graffiti in the background of the show “Futurama”. It is a quite complex one. Here the alphabets are illustrated as one in which the “next letter is given by the summation of all previous letters plus the current letter.” |
