During this event, all babies born in the previous twelve months are laid on a mattress. Then the adult men of Castrillo de Murcia dress up as devils and take turn to jump over the babies. This event often causes damage, mostly to the adults. It is believed that in this way, the babies would get rid of the original sin. |
