It has been newly classified as a disorder. Night Eating Syndrome, also called, NES, is a case when sufferers have a tendency of eating nearly nothing in the day and feel hungry during the night. This syndrome often leads to insomnia. Treatment for this syndrome is being developed and, often, people suffering from NES refuse to admit it. |

Orthorexia |

Orthorexia is often termed as the mania to eat healthy foods. It should not be confused with Anorexia, as people suffering from Orthorexia tend to have health foods while Anorexics have a strong tendency to lose weight. Orthorexia is not generally diagnosed and is more prevalent in the United States. |

Pica is a disorder in which people tend to eat non-healthy and, sometimes, non-edible items, like paint, cigarette butts. Sufferers can often get severely ill due to food poisoning caused by eating harmful chemicals of or by consuming jagged things. |

Binge Eating Disorder |

The DSM IV treats Binge Eating Disorder as an Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS), but, it is perhaps the most common disorder relating to food. Binge is a broad category of eating disorder and those who suffer from this disease are generally embarrassed about their food habits and are reluctant to show their bodies. |
