This movie is a romantic drama released in the year 2000. It is a captivating movie about a girl called Lee who has been sent to Los Angeles from China, by her family. Lee is a waitress in a restaurant situated in Chinatown. She has to face dreadful behaviors and problems both in her aunt’s place where she lives and at the work place. This makes her life dreadful. An engineer called Steve comes to the restaurant one day by accident, gets attracted towards her, and therefore tries to bring her out from her problems. It is a very powerful movie with an emotional touch in it. This movie is also a learning experience.
The direction of the movie is brilliant with some fine performances by the actors. It has on some famous awards like Jury Special Award, Distinguished award of Merit and Festival Prize.
