'Saw' franchise - the best horror series

WENN.com informs us that the six movies of the bloody franchise "Saw" was designated the most successful horror production ever at a presentation held at Comic-Con convention in San Diego - California.

After winning over 730 million dollars at the box office and sold more than 30 million DVDs "Saw" series was named the most popular horror films in history, winning a place in Guinness Book and outperformed other horror franchises like "Halloween," A Nightmare on Elm Street "or" Friday the 13th ".

The "Saw" series will launch on 31.10.2010 the seventh and last film entitled "Saw3D" directed by Kevin Greutert based on a script by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton.

Producer Mark Burg admitted that he is pleasantly surprised by the honor of entering in the Guinness Book and that "Saw" series were awarded the title of the best horror franchise of all time, saying: "I'm still shocked. I beat Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. "
