180-gram vinyl re-release for Nirvana albums

Original Recordings Group (ORG) will be releasing a number of Nirvana albums in high-quality 180-gram vinyl this year. Among the number of albums that have been scheduled for a 2009 release on vinyl include "Nevermind" to be released at first. Other albums in queue are "MTV Unplugged" and "In Utero".


According to the ORG founder, Monti Olson, the album MTV Unplugged will be released on vinyl for the first time. The debut album of Nirvana, titled "Bleach", is also being made into vinyl by Sub Pop, the debut label of the band.


Olson also said that "a lot of classic alternative music from the '80s and '90s" will be seeing 180-gram vinyl release. ORG will release music that are rare but famous.
