If you get to the stage where your future clings about your success at the box office, it's clear that something is not going well. In this situation is Tom Cruise.
His next movie, Mission: Impossible 4 hangs on the fate of Knight & Day success at the box office. We must say that the number of returns are not too many tens of millions, and it seems that the only chance to revive your career is to make sequels to your old movies.
To revive a film phenomenon to his mega time, comes the producer Jerry Bruckheimer who had tried until now to find the magic formula for a sequel to "Top Gun".
With Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson tried once and wasn’t meant to be. Tom Cruise tried as well, but didn't managed to find a suitable story.
Today we found out that Jerry Bruckheimer was contacted about the resumption of discussions and proposed ideas for a sequel to Top Gun:
Aviation community has changed a lot since we did the movie. So now we have to find a way to incorporate Maverick in this new universe.
Let's hope that after Price of Persia: Sands of Time, Bruckheimer has learned that not all that flies is good to eat.
The original Top Gun movie was directed by Tony Scott in 1986 and it has Tom Cruise starring as a fighter pilot (F-14) of the U.S. Navy. The film was produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer and accumulated income of over 350 million U.S. dollarsby FW Editor |
