Probably few cinema-goers would have imagined Wladyslaw Szpilman the interpreter of Roman Polanski in "The Pianist" cast as a mercenary who leads an elite team of warriors to fight an alien race known as Generic Predators.
WENN.com informs us that Adrien Brody the actor from New York who is 37 years old has adapted excellently to the demands of the role of mercenary Royce.
Thus, Adrien Brody avoided luxury hotels and lived for several weeks in a hut in the middle of the jungle to enter into the atmpsphere of the movie. Looks like this action has provided an aura of realism to his character.
2003 Oscar winner admitted that he refused a tempting offer to accommodate in a stylish cabin in order to render as faithful to the harsh conditions that heroes are forced to face in the franchise that made Arnold Schwarzenegger famous in the '80s: "We filmed on an area of 1,000 acres in the lush rainforest, a prehistoric-sized location with giant leaves and natural vegetation shade .
We stayed in a jungle hut. I was isolated in a wet room, not a hotel room equipped with air conditioning. I studied meditation techniques.
At night I was reading books about military training, paramilitary manuals, guides about the flora and fauna of the area and special operations manuals. The only time I leave the set was to go and do exercises.
Adrien Brody claims that he had to endure discomfort during the filming of the sequel's "Predators', and now, we have to appreciate the fruits of his efforts on 09/07/2010 when the movie will be released in theatres.by FW Editor |
