Aerosmith's guitarist Joe Perry does not like to wait when his band is not being able to pull together an album in past 8 years. The guitarist wants to leave behind these woes and begin his own solo career with plans for recording and touring.
Due to various reasons, including illness, injuries, departures and drugs, Aerosmith has not been able to release any original material since the last release in 2001. Moreover, two months ago, the band's lead vocalist Steven Tyler hurt his shoulder after falling from stage during a tour in U.S.A.
Perry says that he has not been able to complete a single song in the last 10 years because Tyler had not given his vocals. Those songs, which could have found their way to the next album of Aerosmith, have ended up in Perry's fifth solo album named "Have Guitar Will Travel". The album was released on Tuesday. His wife, Billie Perry has written one of the songs in the solo album.
