In a recent interview for the ShockTillYouDrop.com, the filmmaker Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes, Mirrors and Piranha 3D awaited to be released) said that his next project is a remake of the horror Maniac directed by William Lustig and released in 1980.
"All my life I wanted to do this remake and my co-writer, Greg [Levasseur] is directing it," Aja said, adding that there is a small margin of improbability of the project, since it has not yet signed any official document.
It's very possible for Maniac to see the daylight. Even the original director of the fist movie, Lustig said repeatedly that the producers are preparing a remake for the horror movie.
If you do not know, Maniac is about a serial killer who randomly kills women from a very dark schizoid power generated by his own childhood trauma.by FW Editor |
