Olympic medalist Amanda Beard deserves to celebrate after her beach wedding to photographer Sacha Brown, and being 5 and a half months pregnant with their first child.
The ceremony was held at the couple's private beach resort located at an archipelago in Banda Sea, Indonesia. "It was absolutely perfect. It was stress-free, and super low-key," she said. "I've always said, 'I want to get married barefoot on the sand.'"
Mr. and Mrs. Brown followed the Muslim tradition where they both wore sarong. A local elder presided over the event and it was witnessed by villagers in the area who were not English speakers.
The two are expecting a baby boy in September. Beard said, "I'm starting to look pregnant." She also expressed her desire to compete in the 2012 Olympics.
