USA team trained by Jurgen Klinsmann loses 1-0 to Germany, but still advance to the Knockout Round. The Germans finished first in Group G and get a slightly easier opponent in the next round.
The group winner will probably play Algeria next, while the group runner-up will almost certainly meet highly rated Belgium.
Both Belgium and Algeria are beatable and if Germany and USA top the group today, they have a great oportunity of reaching the quarter-finals. |
