Authorities Raid Office of Michael Jackson Physician

Thursday, July 23 2009

The investigation of Michael Jackson's death continues. On Wednesday morning, the Houston clinic of Dr. Conrad Murray was searched for evidence of manslaughter by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, LAPD's Robbery Homicide division and Houston Police Department.

Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff said in a statement, "We reviewed the warrant and remained on the premises while the search was being executed. The search warrant authorized law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter."

The items that were taken during the operation included a "forensic image of a business computer hard drive" and 21 other documents. "None of the documents taken had previously been requested by law enforcement or the L.A. Coroner's office," Chernoff noted.
