Avatar and 2012 nominated for Oscar's 2010 Awards

Sunday, December 13 2009

Saturday, the American Film Academy announced the 15 proposed films for Oscar's Best Special Effects. The awards are scheduled for March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles.

It seems that "Avatar" and "2012" are two of the favorites from the list. The movies were released last month and the special effects for "Avatar" costed 400 million $ and for "2012" costed 200 million $.

But right at the corner are Terminator and Harry Potter. Of all 15 only three will be selected. We'll find out on February 2, when nominations will be announced.
