Battlestar Galactica producer Harvey Frand passes away |

Harvey Frand, the man who made "Battlestar Galactica" attain its fame, passed
away on June 23 in Los Angeles. The Emmy Award winning producer was 68 years of
age. He had suffered from respiratory problems for a short period and was
hospitalized for that reason.
Frand had began producing TV series with "The Devlin Connection" in 1982. He is
known for producing series like "Beauty and the Beast", "The Lazarus Man", "The
Twilight Zone" and several others. He started producing for "Battlestar
Galactica: in 2003. It was for his work with this show that earned him a number
of recognitions, including an Emmy Award in 2008. He had also been nominated for
Emmy this year.
He had began his television career at NBC News and since then attained enormous,
specially with the "Galactica" series.
