Tokio Hotel soloist, Bill Kaulitz, is getting better after a car accident that he was reportedly lucky to survive. The German singer explains that he was driving to the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin last week when he lost control of his Audi Q7 on the autobahn.
He tells, "Normally, I'm a very careful driver, have never been in an accident and never speed. Suddenly another car pulled into my lane without indicating. Trying to avoid it, I lost control over the wheel. I tried to get out of the car immediately. I pushed open the door as hard as I could and called the police on my cell. I was very upset and in shock."
Kaulitz confesses that he has been haunted by nightmares of the crash since the unpleasant event: "I saw the images in front of my eyes over and over again and didn't sleep at all. I think about the accident every day. I think it will be a while before I can get over it. It goes deep. I thought I wouldn't make it out alive. I've never been this close to death! It's a miracle that I'm still alive. In moments like that we notice what is really important and to cherish one's life anew."
He only had his Audi Q7 for a few months but he's grateful to Audi for saving his life: "With another car it could have ended differently. I didn't even get a scratch."
He performed later that night, after the incident, and he did the same thing a few days later; so everything seemed to be ok. Damages: 80,000 Euros! Manager and producer David Jost tells BILD: "It's a miracle nothing happened to Bill!"by FW Editor |
