In a recent interview for the American magazine GQ, actor Bill Murray has revealed that he was terribly sorry that he agreed to lend his voice for Garfield, adding, to the surprise of the interviewer - and, of course, ours - everything has happened in a simple but unfortunate confusion.
It seems that Murray has confused Joel Cohen, who wrote his script in 2004, with Joel Coen, who, with his brother Ethan, conceived the stories of films like The Big Lebowski and No Country For Old Men.
"I thought it would be fun, because vocal interpretations are very difficult, and I've never done that before. Moreover, I looked over the script, I saw written something and then something else and Joel Cohen.
I thought instantly that I am mad about the films of the Coen brothers. I browsed the scenario and I accepted the role, "said Murray amused.
"Eventually we arrived in L.A. to start the movie ... and the lines were getting worse. I told them I would like to see the rest of the script just to know in which direction we are going. I sat and I got familiar with the whole thing ...
I remember the feeling I had, I was surprised and angry, and I didn't understand what could be in Coen's head. The, somebody explained me that the script was not written by Joel & Ethan Coen, concludes the actor.by FW Editor |
