After the mysterious passing of their friend DJ AM on Friday, Blink-182 had a difficult time facing the crowd during their Hartford, Connecticut concert on Saturday.
While on stage, bassist Mark Hoppus told the spectators, "This night is really hard for us on stage. We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein. You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a dear friend."
In the middle of the trio's concert, they asked the audience for a moment of silence as a tribute to Goldstein. Some of them were even seen crying as they perform in front of the crowd. When the show ended, Hoppus expressed his gratitude saying, "Thank you very much. Although today is one of the hardest days in our entire lives, we wouldn't want to spend it anywhere else. Thank you for all of your support."
