Britney Spears To Receive Special Award at Teen Choice

Pop diva Britney Spears, who is currently on tour in support of her sixth studio album 'Circus,' will be receiving a special award at Teen Choice Awards 2009 on August 10.

Spears is the female artist having the most Teen Choice awards ever. The pop princess will be given the ultimate choice award because of her "extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry," Fox stated.

On the other hand, the Womanizer singer is nominated in three different categories namely choice music single, choice female artist, and choice music tour respectively. The award show, which will air on Fox, will be hosted by the Jonas Brothers.
