The singer thinks that this story is some kind of diversion to ruin Mel Gibson image and she also believes that the actors has been set up by his baby mama ex Oksana Grigorieva.
Mel Gibson, who is 54 years old is being investigated for alleged domestic violence against Oksana Grigorieva who is the mother of his 9 months old daughter Lucia his number eight child.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is also investigating whether Oksana tried to extort money from the Braveheart star.
"Britney feels Mel is being dragged through the mud, and she knows how that feels," a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer."
"She also sees Oksana as a user who had a baby with Mel for money and fame. She believes Oksana is playing the victim, just like her ex-husband Kevin Federline did."
