The actress revealed that working on Broadway helped her gain a reality check.
The British actress who was nominated for an Oscar - recently play a character named Nina in Anton Chekhov play The Seagul - learned a lot when she was working on stage at the start of this year.
"I learned quite a few lessons about self-indulgent acting when I was doing the play. "I used to do shows where I thought I was really brilliant and I'd come off stage and the audience were completely unresponsive. I got a million notes from my director." she said.
We can see Carey Mulligan - who says she feels fortunate to be enjoying a successful acting career - alongside Michael Douglas and boyfriend Shia LaBeouf in the new Wall Street.
"I love it so much, I'm so lucky and I do want to tell nice stories. My escape is probably as important as allowing the audience to escape." she said.by fw editor |
