Seeded 1st at the Asiatic tournament, the danish player of polish descent, Caroline Wozniacki won after defeating russian superstar Elena Dementieva, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3. currently placed number 10 in the WTA standings(7th at the finals day).

After the first set, Dementieva was on charge of the game, but Caroline stroke back and won the title after a beautiful match up. On her way to victory, Caroline defeated names like Victoria Azarenka in three setters.

This is her fifth victory of the 2010 season, which was the most prolific for her. She had also won at Ponte Vedra Beach, Copenhagen, Montreal and New Heaven.

Placed the second in the WTA standings, Caroline won her first tournament to participate on Asian hard court season.
