After multiple weeks of trial, Charlie Sheen's lawyers and prosecutors finally reached to an agreement in his domestic violence case.
This agreement involves 4 possible options and After multiple weeks of trial, Sheen must decide on one of these options. One involves serious jail time but it is only up to Charlie Sheen to decide what he wants. Here are the four possible options:
Option 1: Charlie will plead guilty to a misdemeanor and serve 30 days in Aspen jail. This sentence will start on June 7 when he will be transferred to Aspen jail immediately.
With good behavior, he can reduce the detention time to 17 day. After he serves his sentence, the case would be over. Charlie would not be placed on probation.
Option 2: Sheen would plead guilty to a misdemeanor and receive no jail time. Instead he would be placed on 2 years probation. However, Sheen's lawyers are worried that the famous actor may slip and he will face far more than 30 days.
Option 3: Charlie Sheen would receive a "deferred prosecution". That means the case would not go forward but Charlie must agree to multiple conditions. One of these conditions is to not break the law.
After a certain period of time (only if Charlie complains to all these conditions) the case would be expunged from his personal record.
Option 4: Go to trial and fight it. Apparently, Charlie is looking at Tito Ortiz case where the UFC star wasn't even prosecuted after he did a lot worse than Sheen's.
As far as we know, Charlie Sheen has not decided which option he will take. Stay focus for more updates.by FW Editor |
