Chris Brown Sentencing Delayed

Thursday, August 6 2009

Chris Brown was scheduled to be sentenced on August 5 for assaulting Rihanna earlier this year but it was delayed for three weeks. The sentencing was moved to August 27.

"We still have not received from Virginia what their community labor proposal would be," L.A. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg noted. "I do not favor community service, I favor something along the lines of Caltrans (freeway cleanup)."

A deal with the prosecutors was agreed upon last month in which Brown pleaded guilty to the felony charge. He is expected to undergo a 5-year probation, community labor, domestic violence classes, among others.
