Chris Rock will star in a Broadway play

Wednesday, November 24 2010

Next years, Chris Rock will make his debut in the New York theater district in Stephen Adly Guirgis' play The Motherf**ker With the Hat.

He will play alonside Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vazquez in a new play about love, addiction and fidelity which will be a 14-week engagement.

The show tells the story of a newly-sober parolee, played by Cannavale, and his girlfriend, who is still addicted to drugs and alcohol. Rock plays the man’s AA sponsor, according to Broadway.com. The play will run for 14 weeks and is directed by Anna D. Shapiro.

I believe that everyone knows Chirs Rock for his comedy specials as well as the films Beverly Hills Cop 2, Dogma, and most recently, Grown Ups in which he played with Adam Sandler.
