Daryl Hannah Arrested This Morning

Friday, September 2 2011

Daryl Hannah was arrested this morning as part of a sit-in near the White House in protest regarding a pipeline expansion project. The police arrested 100 people and the actress was one of them.
"We stand here today to just say no to slavery, to just say no to tar, sands, oil, and no to the Keystone pipeline," the Kill Bill star stated, smiling, prior to being arrested, as first reported by CNN.
According to the same news network, the protest was focused on huge pipeline expansion carrying oil from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. Despite this protest, the State Department is decided to green-light this project before the year is over.
