David Letterman Gives Apology to Gov. Sarah Palin

Tuesday, June 16 2009

by Joe Halls

The controversial jokes of Late Show host David Letterman were slammed by the Palins especially the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin few days ago.

In lieu of the heated exchange of words, Letterman apologized on his late night show Monday saying, "I told a bad joke. I told a joke that was beyond flawed, and my intent is completely meaningless compared to the perception."

"It's not your fault that it was misunderstood, it's my fault. So I would like to apologize, especially to the two daughters involved, Bristol and Willow, and also to the governor and her family and everybody else who was outraged by the joke."

He added, "I'm sorry about it and I'll try to do better in the future. Thank you very much."
