David Letterman case suspect pleads not guilty

Robert Joel Halderman, arrested on Thursday against charges of attempted grand larceny on host David Letterman, pleaded not guilty before a New York court on Friday.


According to prosecutors, Halderman left a package in Letterman's car with a screenplay and letter about Letterman's affair with his collegues demanding a large sum of money.


If the charges are proved then Halderman can face a maximum prison term for 15 years. The bail amount has been set at $200,000.
