Drew Barrymore directorial debut releasing on October 2 |

After having a strong career in front of the camera, Drew Barrymore has taken to directing and first movie, "Whip It", has already premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie has earn good reviews so far from places like Reuters and is set to open in theatres from October 2.
The movie is based on a story of women's roller-derby racing where Ellen Page plays the role of Bliss Cavendar, a girl from a small town in Texas who gets involved in the tough sport.
After her popular act in the movie "Juno", this will be Ellen Page's next big screen appearance.
As a complete drama, "Whip It" packs in everything -- from a family story to promoting girl power.
