Elijah Wood, famous for his role Frodo Baggins in the worldwide hit The Lord of the Rings, recently donated his DNA for a good cause.
The actor, who lends his voice in the animated sci-fi film 9 due September 9, gave his genetic material to the art company DNA 11. The masterpiece, based on Wood's DNA, has been donated to a particular eBay auction.
The proceeds of the said auction will go to a charity, The Art of Elysium, that helps children with difficult medical conditions. In a statement, the 28-year-old said, "I'm really excited to take part in DNA 11's scientific process for creating a unique and original art piece benefiting The Art of Elysium, a charity that I am truly passionate about."
