Elizabeth Edwards Talks About Husband's Affair

Friday, May 1 2009

by Joe Halls

Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of 2008 Democratic presidential nominee John Edwards, opened up in her upcoming memoir entitled Resilience. The book will be released on May 12 revealing the affair of her husband with Rielle Hunter.

"I cried and screamed. I went to the bathroom and threw up," said Mrs. Edwards upon learning her husband's illicit relationship.

She stated that she only knew about the affair several days after Mr. Edwards started his run to be the standard bearer of the Democratic Party. "He should not have run," she exclaimed.

However, she also said that she's working hard trying to forgive his husband, "I lie in bed, circles under my eyes, my sparse hair sticking in too many directions, and he looks at me as if I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. It matters."
