Elton John Struck With Flu

Monday, November 2 2009

Acclaimed singer Sir Elton John canceled his ongoing concert tour with another award-winning singer Billy Joel according to BBC. Specifically, their scheduled performances in Seattle and Portland, Oregon were postponed.

The reason behind this sudden announcement was that John was reportedly struck with E-coli bacterial infection and influenza and he is currently resting in a London hospital. His website also stated that he postponed his concert in Dublin on Thursday.

Same thing happened in July when the American leg of the tour was also canceled because Joel suffered "flu-like symptoms" and "extreme fatigue." The Face to Face tour of John and Joel, which began in 1994, is considered the longest running and a very successful concert tandem in the history of pop music.
