The social networking site Facebook has absolutely come a long way from a simple online portal in 2004. In fact, there are reports that the success story of the site and the people behind it will hit the big screen soon.
The proposed movie was given the tentative title The Social Network. The plot will be adapted from the book of Ben Mezrich, The Accidental Billionaires, which chronicles the founding of the site by Harvard students 5 years ago.
Variety reported that the director of Brad Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button David Fincher is rumored to do the project. He will be joining Aaron Sorkin and producer Kevin Spacey. CNET's The Social blog also revealed that either actors Michael Cera or Shia LaBeouf will possibly play the role of Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
