At Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills Monday night, the family of Michael Jackson was able to view the body of the King of Pop in an open casket.
It was held before the public memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The singer's cousin David Fossett, 50, revealed, "He looked like himself. He looked like he just was laying there sleeping."
"He looked peaceful," he went on. "It was a somber mood. Even though he's this big entertainer, he's still our family."
All the relatives "talked to each other and cried." After the viewing, the relatives headed back to Encino where the songster’s home is located.
