Farrah Fawcett Opens Up About Cancer

Thursday, May 14 2009

by Joe Halls

A two-hour documentary entitled Farrah's Story will be airing on NBC tomorrow that chronicles the journey of actress Farrah Fawcett regarding her struggle with cancer for nearly three years now.

"I want to stay alive. So I say to God, because it is, after all, in His hands, 'It is seriously time for a miracle,'" she noted. "Of all the things I've ever hoped for in my life, finding a doctor to surgically remove my anal cancer did not even make the top one million on my list."

Describing cancer, she said that it is "a disease that is mysterious, headstrong and makes it own rules," and stated, "Mine, to date, is incurable."

She later added, "I know that everyone will die eventually but I do not want to die of this disease."
