The show "Friday Night Lights" will be premiered for 2 seasons which will consist a total of 26 episodes on DirecTV. NBC and DirecTV have sealed the pact to broadcast the critically acclaimed show which shows the happenings of a high school football team from Texas.

Ratings for "Friday Night Lights" were dropping low last year. So NBC had entered into a deal with DirecTV to air the show on its channel, thereby, sharing the expenses. The show is now featured on NBC, as well as, on DirecTV.

After these 26 episodes, the total number of episodes for "Friday Night Lights" will reach 77. Thus, it will become easier to syndicate the show.

The cast will almost remain the same except Minka Kelly will not be seen on the show.
