Gandalf will not wait forever for filming 'The Hobbit'

Wednesday, July 21 2010

Although I was informed last week that the director Peter Jackson will sign for The Hobbit, and that such a production will come out from a long dark time of pre-production, now I found out that the fate of the two films is put in danger again.

This time is about the actor Ian McKellen, who recently said he won't wait forever for the production to start.

Being the only actor formally cast in the two Hobbits, and also being one of the essential actors of Lord of the Rings franchise, this statement is not good news for Jackson's project.

"I am not bound by any agreement, the time passes, and I feel good to work in theater. After Waiting for Godot I want to play in another play.

I don't want to give the impression to the producers that I'm waiting for them, "said the actor in an interview for the New Zealand show Good Morning Show.

So far MGM has failed to solve their financial problems, so, The Hobbit lies and waits ... indefinitely.
