It hasn't an official release date for his new film "Rango" (with Johnny Depp in the role of a chameleon computer) and it seems that Gore Verbinski is ready to begin work on a new film entitled The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Or at least that is the intention of the director of trilogy Pirates of the Caribbean.
The movie tells the story of Walter Mitty, a writer with an exuberant imagination, so, the real hero of this film interweaves with the fantastic. By coincidence, the characters of the hero dreams come to life.
Looking at the cover of a famous magazines, Walter sees him in a world where we all admire him for his courage. In his illusory world, he becomes a pilot, a navy officer, a doctor and a sharpshooter.
Although his mother, Eunice Mitty, wants to see him married with the possessive Gertrude, Walter is attracted by the angelic Rosalind van Horn.
The girl is chased by a gang of thieves led by the evil Doctor Hugo, who manage to convince Mitty about his ephemeral nature of his visions. Eventually, Rosalind is rescued from among villains, and the shy writer turns into a figure respected by all of the community members.
More details about this project is to be expected. No one knows what actors are targeted for the film distribution, but more than likely they are already looking for writers for an initial draft to a movie with great potential.by FW Editor |
