Gospel album featuring Bon Jovi and other mainstream acts |

Popular music groups including Bon Jovi, 3 Doors Down, Joss Stone and Queen Latifah have ventured into the genre of gospel. The gospel album in which all these artists have appeared is named as "Oh Happy Day: An All-Star Music Celebration" and it will be released on March 31 under the label of EMI Gospel and Vector Recordings.
Bon Jovi recorded the track "Keep the Faith" which is their first gospel song. They were provided backup by Washington Youth choir. The song that 3 Doors Down have sung "Presence of the Lord" and were assisted by the community choir, Soul Children of Chicago.
Working in this genre for the first time, Brad Arnold, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down took it as a challenge and said that his band was glad to work in this album. "We all grew up in church and we're all Christians", he added.
Upon release, the hard copy of the album will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart. Many online stores will also be selling the album in the digital format.
