Besting other contestants Mike Morelli, who lost 207 lbs., and Tara Costa, who lost 155 lbs. respectively, 48-year-old Helen Phillips emerged as the champ in the reality show The Biggest Loser.
Phillips went from 257 lbs. to 117 lbs. She has scraped 140 lbs. from her obese figure leading her to win the title. She said, "The energy here is so unbelievable. But I feel so good! I feel like I can do anything."
Her trainer, Jillian Michaels, was also ecstatic, and stressed, "I always want the underdog to triumph. Helen is 48, she was the smallest contestant, she was absolutely an afterthought and she ended up beating everyone's percentages. But I'm willing to let a man win next year!"
With her win, Phillips brought home $250,000.
