International market welcomes Marley & Me |

Marley & Me, the movie about a heavy dog raised a total of $51 million around the world. It premiered at top spots in Russia and the UK - raising $1.7 million from Russia alone. The movie ruled the international markets at the end of this week.
The movie is based on a book written by John Grogan. It flourised past the movie Watchmen to grab the first place on the international arena. Watchmen, directed by Zack Snyder, raised a total of $49.5 million. The third place is being held by Gran Torino. The movie earned $47.7 million worldwide.
In the weekend, Marley & Me gathered $13.9 million while Watchmen and Gran Torino accumulated $13.5 million and $11.4 million respectively.
In the meantime, the musical movie Mamma Mia! has gathered a total of $601.6 million worldwide. It has also been a huge hit overseas.
