After a lot of roles in several Hollywood movies, Jean Reno is the new print head, and rightly so, because the French have enough talent and enough charisma to carry on his shoulders the entire movie" now the thriller 22 Bullets.
Directed by Richard Berry, a screenplay inspired by the biographical novel by Franz-Olivier Giesbert, The Immortal, the film is, apparently, making some subtle references to another exceptional thriller starring Reno, namely Leo (d. Luc Beson ) (22 Bullets is an alternative title for Revenge of the Professional).
Reno plays the mobster Charly Mattei, who decided to retire from the underworld and lead a normal life with his family. He is hounded by his rivals and gets riddled with no less with 22 bullets. How is expected, Mattei doesn't dies.
The source novel, The Immortal, is inspired from the real-life of mobster Jacques Imbert, after he completely changed his life and became a regular man, was found by some old enemies who shot him.
But the seven bullets didn't kill him and Imbert avenged in style and maximum efficiency, although his right arm was hopelessly paralyzed.
The movie 22 Bullets, was made on 2009, but will be released only on 22 September.by FW Editor |
