Jenna Bush Hager To Join NBC Today Show

Monday, August 31 2009

The executive producer of NBC's Today show Jim Bell revealed to the Associated Press that the daughter of former President George W. Bush, Jenna Bush, will be joining the morning show.

Hager, an author and teacher by profession, will be a special correspondent of the TV program contributing stories, like education, about once a month. She said, "It wasn't something I'd always dreamed to do… But I think one of the most important things in life is to be open-minded and to be open-minded for change."

Bell noted, "I think she can handle it. I think she knows something about pressure and being under some scrutiny. When she came here for a handful of appearances (to promote her books), she knocked it out of the park."
