Jewel, ex-contestant of the popular dance reality TV show "Dancing With The Stars", feels that if contestants in the show are too hurt, then they must either perform while being injured or simply leave the show.
The singer wrote in MySpace blog of her husband that the rule of judging an injured contestant by their rehearsal if they are too injured to perform, which was introduced in DWTS after the injury of Steve Murray, is "weird".
According to the rule, if a contestant is not able to perform for severe injury, then they will be judged by the recordings of their rehearsals. This Monday, Melissa Rycroft, got an injury in her rib cage for which she was not able to perform.
Jewel says that her comment may sound rude, but she feels that's the way DWTS should take to keep a fair competition. However, she jokes that if she had been on the show, she might have changed her mind!
