Jill Clayburgh has died at 66 years old

Wednesday, December 8 2010

Jill Clayburgh was last seen in the ABC television series Dirty Sexy Money, in which she played Letitia Darling.

The New York Times informs us that the actress died after a long battle with chronic leukemia.

The most impressive movie in which Jill played was Running With Scissors, based on the book by Augusten Burroughs. She played alongside Annette Bening, Brian Cox, Joseph Fiennes, Evan Rachel Wood, Alec Baldwin and Gwyneth Paltrow.

She could also be seen in TV shows like Law & Order, The Practice and Nip/Tuck and Ally McBeal.

"I was very assertive as a child, verging on violence and self-destructiveness. Once I threw this short little boy down the stairs. It was a kind of need for power at a young age that masks insecurity." Clayburgh told People magazine back in 1979.
