| Jill Sobule raised $75K from fans for her next album |

After getting little or no help from her previous four labels, singer Jill Sobule had adopted an unique idea raising funds through donations from her fans through the website www.jillsnextrecord.com.
But the idea of fundraising wasn't merely getting money from her fans. She had some planned "gifts" for her fans; those who donate $10K can sing with her on the album; donate $5K and she will give you a "private living room concert"; donate $100 and you get a T-shirt with "Junior Executive Producer" written on it.
Starting the fundraising website in January, 2008, and met the goal in a staggering 53 days.
Among the donors, one fan in the UK gave her $10,000 and Fred Savage and Tom Bergeron have also donated to the cause.
