Jimmy Page,
founder and guitarist of the legendary English rock band
href="http://people.famouswhy.com/led_zeppelin/" target="_blank">Led Zeppelin,
does not like the way today's youngsters are introduced to music. As more and more music
videogames are getting successful in the market, Page is thoroughly unimpressed with their
impact on the young generation. He feels that today's kids cannot attain the kind of
performance through videogames like Guitar Hero or Rock Band that
href="http://people.famouswhy.com/john_bonham/" target="_blank">John Bonham,
Led Zeppelin's drummer, had done on the drum part in the first track of the debut Led
Zeppelin album, "Good Times Bad Times".
Jack White,
lead vocalist and guitarist of the U.S. rock band
href="http://people.famouswhy.com/the_white_stripes/" target="_blank">The White
Stripes, is also in the league. He does not bother about the format in which people get
music, but he feels that the video games don't convey the romance like an original music. “I
do know it’s depressing to have a label come and tell you that this is how kids are learning
about music and experiencing music. That’s like the only outlet now, that you have to put it
in a videogame to get it in front of them," he added.
