Before Michael Jackson died on June 25, he was prepping and continuously rehearsing for his 50 London performances. His father Joe Jackson said that Michael didn't want to do that lengthy tour but was just pushed by the promoters.
He narrated, "Michael told me himself (that) he agreed to 10 shows. But they went and added all these other shows. I was worried about his health. No artist can do those many shows back to back like that, and so I knew Michael couldn't do all those shows."
The producers of the said concert series dismissed the claims of the Jackson patriarch. AEG CEO Randy Phillips stated that the pop legend was the one responsible for the show's extension. "He told me to shove off," Phillips stressed.
