Joe Jackson Attends BET Awards

Monday, June 29 2009

A rather unexpected guest to arrive at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium for BET Awards on Sunday was Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson.

When he was interviewed by CNN about the death of his beloved son, he stated, "I wish the world had recognized him when he was living. Right now, he's bigger than ever. But I wish he was here to see all this, to hear all this."

The awarding body paid tribute to the King of Pop. Host Jamie Foxx even did Jackson's signature moonwalk dance. He said, "No need to be sad. We want to celebrate this black man. We gonna go through all of Michael Jackson."

Other stars who performed to salute Jackson were Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Bobby Brown, among others.
